You're actually the only one on the right track here Micky. Obesity doesn't cause all those cancers, it's merely one of many side effects metabolic syndrome, as is insulin resistance.

Ditch the oatmeal, brown rice, fruit, and popcorn, and replace those calories with some good saturated and monounsaturated fats. Macadamia nuts, avocados, eggs, butter, sour creme, sardines, etc.... You're actually starving your body of what it needs. Oh, don't worry, you don't need to exercise.

You have to make the distinction between the different types of fat. The fats in processed and fast foods are bad fats, the "manufactured" fats, like soy, corn, canola, and vegetable oils. They are rich in omega 6 fats, which are pro-inflammatory, which leads to all of our modern diseases.
